Before moving to San Francisco, Amy Brodo performed for many years in Europe and the Middle East, with positions including assistant principal cellist of the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Italy, and cellist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. As a baroque cellist, she performed with Andrew Parrott's Taverner Players, Philip Herreveghe's Orchestre de Champs Elysee, and the Hanover Band. In the San Francisco Bay Area Ms. Brodo has performed with groups including Sex Chordæ Consort of Viols, Magnificat Baroque Orchestra, American Bach Solosists, and the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival. In addition to her period instrument performances on both baroque cello and viola da gamba, she is an active performer of contemporary music for the cello.
Linda Burman-Hall is a specialist in music theory and performance with degrees from the University of California, Los Angeles and Princeton University. She is active not only as a recitalist and ensemble director but also is well known as a research musicologist. After post doctoral research at the University of Amsterdam, she joined the faculty at University of California Santa Cruz, where she currently teaches music theory, Baroque chamber ensemble, harpsichord, and world music courses.While approaching early keyboard literature from an independent perspective, Dr. Burman-Hall has studied with Malcolm Hamilton, Alan Curtis and Gustav Leonhardt. She has been featured soloist with the Carmel Bach Festival, invited scholar at the E. Nakamichi Baroque Festival and performer-scholar at Aston Magna Institute. She has recently performed in Boston, New York, Cincinnati, and Bethlehem, PA, and has been featured in concerts at the Getty, de Young and Huntington Museums, on local and national radio, and with Chanticleer, America's premier vocal ensemble. Linda Burman-Hall is founder and Artistic Director of the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival. Her Baroque solo and chamber music recordings are available on Sonic Arts, Musical Heritage Society and Centaur. Albums devoted to 17th century French harpsichord and organ music have been recorded for relase on Wildboar.
Rob Diggins, is a recording artist for Harmonia Mundi and Fidelio, freelances in Europe and North America and performs regularly with several early music ensembles including La Chapelle Royale, Les Arts Florissants, the Gabrieli Consort, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra, and Magnificat. Mr. Diggins lives in Humboldt County, California, where he teaches violin and viola, as well as directing the North Bay Chamber Orchestra, in Northern California and the Jefferson Baroque Orchestra, in Southern Oregon. Mr Diggins performs and records in a number of progressive genres with a 5-string violectra and enjoys the rural country.
Lars Johannesson, graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with a degree in orchestral flute. He pursued post-graduate studies in Baroque flute with Wilbert Hazelzet at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Holland. He teaches and performs regularly in the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas, including performances with the baroque orchestra Magnificat, Dramma per Musica, the Santa Cruz Baroque Festival and the North Bay chamber Orchestra. In addition to classical music, Lars also plays and performs traditional music. An active studio musician, Lars has recorded for numerous releases on the Gourd Music label as well as other labels including A&M Records.
